I never reached out my hand to help.
I never showed you that I cared,
I never appreciated your being there.

I never knew the depth of your pain,
I never knew you felt so much shame.
I never knew you would lose hope,
I never knew you could not cope.

I never knew you needed a friend,
I never knew you wanted life to end.
I never knew you needed a friend,
I never knew you would make life end.

Now I know.
But now is too late.
